Official Inspector of Stuff

As many of you have pets at home that inspect your work, well so do I. They also frequently help me. This particular day both my cats Rolo and Beanie decided to help me work on a stitchery. Rolo loves to cuddle up with me on my lap, he just doesn't realize that he is 20 lbs and takes up quite a bit of room. Beanie on the other hand is 1/2 of his size and sits nicely at my feet. Pardon the really pink slippers, remember I have cold feet here in New England. Here are pictures of that day.

As you can see it is a little difficult to work with a 20 lb cat in your lap. After a little while he discovered that there was actually floss going up and down and starting to play with it as I worked. I then had to shoo him away!

Here are the results of the work that day.

Also, here is the Dove from Lynette Anderson's FREE BOM. I am enjoying doing the Noah's Ark BOM and can't wait to start the next one.

Stayed tuned, my Mambo quilt and my Cherrywood Quilt tops are done and I plan on putting them on my Gammill this weekend for quilting. They will be in my next post!!

If you are still with me now, Julie K is giving away a quilt on her blog!! Hurry go check it out and comment!

Such cute stitcheries! I think Rolo wants to learn how to stitch such pretty things! We here in MI certainly understand the continued need for cozy slippers!

Nice work, despite the cat distracting you. Its a fun distraction, though.

Having a 20 pound cat on your lap and trying to be productive has got to be challenging. Very sweet, endearing photos of you and your boys!

This is so hilarious. I know exactly how those kitties play with the thread and yarn when you are working. Their sharp little claws can get a finger too!

Your blocks are lovely, and the pink slippers look very comfy! Hope your cold is gone by now.

Thank you for the mention on your blog about my quilt giveaway! Those cats are some healthy specimens! I bet it is hard to embroider with one of those sweet babies wanting the lap... :)

Kitties and stitching...they just seem to go together. My cat tries to sit in my lap when I am at my machine. Nothing like a face full of fur when you are trying to sew! Your embroidery looks beautiful. Based on the adorable picture, I think your "inspector" cat agrees with me.

Love the pictures of Rolo - he looks very contented. What is it with porky ginger and white cats and stitching! Olly weighs about 7 kilos - not sure how that translates to kilos. Happy stitching.
